Why We Kayak
Kayaking brings the world closer to you and allows you to see places and natural wonders you’d otherwise never get a chance to see – and offers a perfect escape from the hustle, bustle and stress of our fast-paced, technology-driven society. Jennifer and Pete Koerner, with help and encouragement from family and friends, opened Up The Creek Xpeditions in 1997 with a desire to share the fun of paddling with as many people as possible while introducing them to natural beauty and scenery only accessible by kayak. With extensive backgrounds in athletics and public safety, both Jennifer and Pete strive to make kayaking as safe and fun as possible for everyone. Essentially, “We kayak because we love it and we love sharing fun and interesting experiences with people.” Just one afternoon on the water with Up The Creek Xpeditions and you’ll understand Why We Kayak!Read more »

No Experience Necessary
Kayaking is a safe, fun and easy activity anyone can enjoy. No matter what your experience-level, there’s a kayak and a paddling trip just right for you. People of all ages are amazed to find out for themselves just how comfortable, stable and easy-to-paddle our kayaks truly are. Each of our guided kayak trips is led by a team of highly-experienced paddling guides who will show you everything you need to know, answer all (or most) of your questions and make sure you are as safe as possible at all times. We’ve had guests ranging in age from two-to-ninety-two and ranging in athletic ability from None-to-Tri-athlete – and everybody has a great time. Though you can certainly use kayaking as a form of low-impact exercise, you’ll also find paddling is a relaxing way to enjoy nature, have fun, see new places and even meet new people. Our motto is, “If you’re having fun, you’re doing it right!”Read more »
